Our combo unit runs power cable on its own, or power cable and capillary line together on the same trip.
Our crews spool the power cable, band and clamp it to tubing, install protectors at the collars, and run the wellhead penetration. We install on new completions and on pump changes, on drilling rigs and service rigs.
Yes. Our ESP unit is a combo spooler, which means power cable and capillary line go in on one trip instead of two. ESP wells are chemical wells more often than not, since scale and corrosion are what take pumps down, and the cap line usually follows the pump within a year anyway. Running both at once removes a mobilization and gets the treatment in place from day one.
Yes. The combo unit spools power cable by itself, and plenty of jobs need nothing else. The combination is available when you want it, not required.
Because most ESP failures that get blamed on the pump start at the cable. Cable damaged during installation, banded loose, pinched at a collar, or pulled over a sharp edge will fail electrically weeks or months later, and by then it is a workover and a pump. The install is the cheapest part of the system and the one with the most leverage over how long the rest of it lasts.
Our ESP combo unit is based in Midland and deploys throughout North America.
