Surface Box
Application
DataCan’s Surface Box collects, stores, displays, and transmits downhole and/or surface data. It has a NEMA 4X enclosure, digital display, 44 million sample capacity, and Modbus output. This box can connect up to 12 multi-gauge piezo or quartz gauges. You can also connect up to 9 additional telemetry cards to create a 10-well pad data logger, with an isolated loop for each well. To avoid crosstalk and improve reliability, we recommend using 1 telemetry per well. A fully capable system would be 12 tools per well and 10 wells.

Benefits
The Surface Box has low power requirements so it can be run on a small solar panel. With 44M sample capacity, data can be logged for years before reaching capacity. Alternatively, the system can be equipped with our Data2Desk system, enabling operation in an isolated or remote location. Set-up and data download is quick and easy via a USB connection.
