DataCan’s permanent monitoring systems allow users to place pressure and temperature gauges in the wellbore and, using an armored mono-conductor cable, transmit downhole pressure data to the surface in real time. DataCan’s permanent monitoring systems use quartz or piezo sensor technology in a highly reliable, electron beam welded, hermetically sealed gauge. These gauges are held in place using a gauge carrier and gauge protector custom designed to suit the customer’s needs. DataCan provides high or low cost clamps and cabling solutions as well as CSA approved wellhead exits. DataCan’s surface box comes standard with a display and memory and an output signal allowing you to control pumps or valves. You can also transmit collected data via a cell phone or satellite modem right to your desk. DataCan systems are designed to run on 12V and a solar power cell can be supplied if required.

DataCan’s Surfaces Boxes are used to collect and store downhole data and can be used to control pumps or valves by sending a signal to the pump or valve controller. Surface boxes come standard with a display and memory, and have a 20 million sample capacity.
DataCan provides supplies welded and solid (non-welded) gauge carriers that are pressure testable and have a reliable metal to metal seal to prevent leaks from entering. Our permanent carriers have high burst and collapse pressures and can be configured to measure both internal (tubing) and external (annulus) pressures.

Solar Powered Surface Data Collection
The Solar Powered Surface Data Collection allows the customer to run their permanent monitoring system when power is unavailable. Solar engine provides clean power; nice even voltage unlike a generator that can have fluctuating voltage.
