Electronics Technician

DataCan Services Corp is looking for an Electronics Technician to become a full-time part of our Manufacturing team in Red Deer, Alberta. This individual is responsible for the manufacturing and repair of DataCan tools and systems. This includes reading drawings and manufacturing instructions to complete builds, soldering, in-process and final Quality Control verification. Repairs include troubleshooting issues, using measuring and diagnostic equipment, completing repairs and repair reports.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manufacturing: 

  • Reading drawings and manufacturing instructions to complete builds
  • Soldering and testing surface mount electronics 
  • Ability to use measuring and diagnostic equipment
  • In process and final Quality Control of tools
  • Picking jobs as required
  • Completion of assigned jobs and related QC verification tasks
  • Preparing pressure gauges for calibration

Repairs:

  • Troubleshooting of company and customer equipment
  • Ability to use measuring and diagnostic equipment
  • Completion of Repair Reports and repair records
  • Completion of assigned jobs and related QC verification tasks
  • Maintain accurate records

Qualifications:

  • Electronics Technician Diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ experience 
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal and written instructions and use simple math
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to solder surface mount electronics with lead-free solder
  • Ability to use basic test equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and able to work independently

DataCan recently opened an office in the Houston, Texas area and is looking for a motivated Sales Representative and Account Manager to assist Senior Management in customer and revenue growth and asset management.
